Brief Introduction

The Takeaway Grass pellet mill is specialized equipment designed for processing "Takeaway Grass"—a lightweight, high-fiber forage—into high-density pellets. It can operate as a standalone unit or be integrated into a complete production line alongside equipment for grinding, drying, mixing, cooling, and screening. Its core components—the ring die and press rollers—are made of wear-resistant alloy, specifically engineered to handle the extrusion of long-fiber Takeaway Grass material. By swapping dies, the press can produce pellets with diameters ranging from 4 mm to 12 mm, meeting various specifications for applications such as feed for exotic pets and livestock; the resulting pellets are compact, low in dust, and highly durable.

Working Principle

The pulverized and moisture-conditioned Takeaway Grass raw material is fed into the pelletizing chamber of the Takeaway Grass pellet mill via a forced feeding system. The rotating ring die drives the synchronized movement of the press rollers, forcing the loose Takeaway Grass powder into the die holes; under mechanical compression, the coarse fibers within the material intertwine and bond, forming strands within the holes. As these strands emerge from the outer surface of the ring die, they are cut to a preset length by an adjustable cutter, creating Takeaway Grass pellets. The freshly produced pellets are hot; they are passed through cooling equipment to lower their temperature and harden, thereby enhancing structural strength. Finally, the pellets undergo screening to remove fines before being packaged as the finished Takeaway Grass product.

Grass pellet press primarily process various coarse-fiber herbaceous raw materials:

Forage grasses, Chinese ryegrass, alfalfa, ryegrass, corn stalks, wheat straw, rice straw, peanut vines, soybean stalks, wild grasses, sugarcane bagasse, etc.;

Small amounts of corn flour, wheat bran, and additives can be mixed in for granulation to produce feed pellets.
