Brief Introduction

TONY’s upgraded large-size gear-driven wood pelletizer is engineered for mid to large-size production facilities. This newly launched energy-saving and environment-friendly machine is self-developed by our in-house technical team. The pellet press densifies shredded timber, corn stalk, agricultural leftovers, bamboo dust, forage, cereal straw, rice husk and other biomass feedstock into solid fuel pellets. Fitted with dual-speed control, it consumes little electricity, boasts a neat and well-planned layout, brings favorable economic returns and serves for years.

This model shows outstanding performance when handling materials with poor natural adhesion and medium forming demands. It supports diversified raw materials such as rice husk, sunflower hull, peanut shell, different nut shells, tree branches, round logs, bark and wood scraps.

Working Principle

The TONY pellet press forms finished granules relying on squeezing force between ring die and pressing rollers as well as frictional effects within die apertures. No adhesive agents or extra additives are required during production.

Sawdust, straw and comparable biomass feedstock consist of cellulose and lignin. As an amorphous phenylpropane polymer, lignin reinforces cell walls and bonds cellulose components. Instead of melting, lignin turns soft under suitable thermal conditions. The softened lignin generates cohesive force. Under compression, cellulose frameworks deform and elongate, enabling intertwined biomass fibres to consolidate into compact pellets.

Suitable Raw Materials

Woody materials: Wood chips, sawdust, shavings, branches and bamboo scraps are common feed after crushing and sieving. Their natural fiber bonds well for high-density pellets.

Straw materials: Corn, wheat and rice stalks, husks and shells are cheap and widely available. With crushing and moisture adjustment, they make biomass fuel for large recycling projects.

Shell & agroforestry by-products: Walnut, coconut and apricot shells, bark and fruit branches are hard and need proper crushers. Their high-calorific pellets suit boilers and pre-carbonization.

Manure materials: Dehydrated and fermented chicken or cow dung turns into organic fertilizer pellets for farmland. Palm fiber, reeds, bagasse and mushroom residue can also be pelletized as fuel or growing substrate.

Application Areas

Biomass pelletizers process agroforestry leftovers such as wood chips, straw, rice husks and bark. After pretreatment, these materials are pressed into dense pellet fuel.

These pellets work well as a replacement for kerosene and coal. They conserve energy, lower pollution and offer clean, renewable power for most coal-burning factories.

2. Each raw material corresponds to a ring die with a compression ratio. If you have a variety of raw materials later, it is recommended to buy ring dies with different compression ratios from TONY.

3. The compression ratio of ring die is set by TONY according to his experience for many years. If the customer changes the raw materials, the ring die must be replaced.

3. The ring die of TONY brand is vertical and double-layer ring die. Each time the pellets are pressed, only the lower layer of ring die can press the pellets. When the life of the lower layer of ring die ends, the mold can be turned to use the other ring die.

4. The life of TONY ring die is generally 1000-1500 hours, and the service life of ring die is different according to the different raw materials of customers.

5. The material of TONY ring die is alloy steel-bearing steel. After quenching heat treatment, the hardness is higher, the wear resistance is greater, and the service life is longer
