Brief Introduction
TONY’s re-engineered heavy-duty gear-driven pellet mill caters to manufacturing demands for medium and large-scale biomass plants. This is one of our in-house developed new-generation eco-friendly processing machines with outstanding energy-saving performance. The equipment compresses crushed timber, corn stalks, agricultural residues, bamboo flour, forage grass, straw, rice husks and other biomass materials into dense pellet fuels. Fitted with two-speed adjustment, the machine features low power consumption, a compact footprint, favorable economic value and a prolonged service cycle.
This pelletizer works well for feedstock that has poor natural bonding properties and average forming requirements. It supports a wide range of input materials, including rice husks, sunflower seed shells, peanut shells, various nut shells, tree branches, whole logs, bark and wood scraps from lumber operations.

Working Principle
On TONY biomass pellet mills, feedstock gets shaped through combined extrusion force generated by ring dies and pressing rollers, alongside internal friction developing inside die apertures. No binding agents or extra additives are required throughout the forming process.
Wood chips, straw and similar biomass materials contain cellulose and lignin. Lignin is an amorphous phenylpropane polymer that strengthens cell structures and fixes cellulose components. It will not melt completely; it merely turns soft within a suitable temperature range. This plasticized lignin creates bonding force. When compressed, cellulose frameworks deform and extend, interlocking biomass fibres tightly to form firm pellets.

Suitable Raw Materials

Woody materials: Screened wood scraps and bamboo leftovers serve as the primary pellet raw materials. They boast excellent natural binding ability and produce high-density finished pellets.
Crop stalks: Straw and seed husks are widely available at low cost. Proper moisture adjustment and size reduction are essential pretreatment steps for biomass fuel manufacturing.
Tough agroforestry by-products: Nut shells and tree bark demand specialized crushing equipment. Pellets made from these materials carry high calorific value, ideal for boiler combustion and carbonization processing.
Animal by-products: Processed livestock manure can be pressed into fertilizer pellets. Palm fiber, reeds, bagasse and spent mushroom substrate are also pelletizable. This approach cuts waste pollution, and the finished pellets can be used as fuel or planting substrate.
Application Areas

Agroforestry waste like wood fragments, straw, rice husks and bark acts as feedstock for pellet mills. Following preprocessing, they form dense fuel pellets.
Biomass granules are renewable and eco-friendly alternatives to kerosene and coal. They cut energy costs and emissions, available for the vast majority of coal-fired plants.

Unique Advantages
Tony pellet mills have optimized the overall machine cavity and bearing sealing structure, employing a multi-layered dustproof sealing solution to prevent dust and fine material debris from entering the bearing cavity at the source, effectively protecting core rotating components from dust corrosion. The main shaft and pressure roller bearings utilize heavy-duty specialized bearings made of fatigue-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials, ensuring smooth operation even under harsh conditions of high dust levels and continuous operation, significantly reducing the risk of bearing damage. The upgraded sealing structure reduces oil leaks and bearing jamming caused by dust, significantly extending the service life of core components such as bearings and the main shaft, and reducing the frequency of pellet mill overhauls.
