Brief Introduction

The straw and wood pellet mill is a molding equipment that processes agricultural crop straw and forestry wood chips into high-density pellets. It can produce biomass fuel pellets and, according to formula, feed pellets. The straw and wood pellet mill is suitable for use at straw collection and storage points, wood processing plants, livestock farms, biomass fuel plants, and heating boiler projects.

The straw and wood pellet mill primarily addresses the problems of large volume, low density, and inconvenient storage and transportation of raw materials such as straw and wood chips. The equipment uses processes such as crushing, moisture conditioning, extrusion, and molding to compress loose materials into uniformly sized pellet products that are easy to store and transport. The straw and wood pellet mill can be equipped with either a flat die or a ring die structure. Flat die models are suitable for small to medium-scale processing, while ring die models are suitable for continuous production. It can also be integrated with a crusher, dryer, cooler, screening machine, and packaging machine to form a complete production line.

The typical process flow of a straw and wood pellet mill is as follows:

Crushing: Processing raw materials such as straw and wood chips to a suitable pellet size.

Moisture Conditioning: Adjusting the moisture content of the material, generally controlling it at around 10%-15%.

Pelletizing: The material enters the pelletizing chamber of the straw and wood pellet mill and is extruded and shaped by pressure rollers and molds.

Cooling: The pellets are cooled and shaped by a cooler to improve hardness and stability.

Screening and Packaging: Qualified pellets are screened, packaged, and stored; broken pieces can be recycled.

Straw and wood pellet mills can process various agricultural and forestry biomass raw materials, mainly including: Wheat straw, corn straw, rice straw, wheat straw, bean straw, cotton stalks, etc.; wood chips, sawdust, shavings, branches, bamboo shavings, template scraps, etc., and other forestry residues; rice husks, peanut shells, corn cobs, sunflower seed shells, sugarcane bagasse, etc., and other agricultural by-products; alfalfa hay, peanut vines, sweet potato vines, etc., and other forage raw materials; some mixed biomass raw materials, with formulas adjustable according to application.

1.Customized Co‑Branded Gearbox Assembly

The unit adopts TONY‑customized gearbox manufactured by Zhejiang HUIXIN, marked with dual brand logos. Internal gears are dimensionally enlarged and thickened; gear shaft receives reinforcement treatment to satisfy heavy‑duty operating conditions.

2.304 Austenitic Stainless‑Steel for Corrosion‑Prone Components

Feed inlet, discharge casing, dust collection enclosure, material lifting knife and internal cutoff knife are manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel. Material selection mitigates steam‑originated rust and corrosion during pelletizing and enhances equipment longevity.

3.Bottom‑Mounted HUIXIN Hardened‑Tooth Reducer

Hard tooth surface reducer supplied by HUIXIN is installed beneath discharge casing. This layout optimizes torque transmission capacity, provides sufficient rotary power and lowers component damage risk.

4.Arc‑Profile Upper Discharge Casing (304 SS)

Upper discharge casing is made of 304 stainless steel. Arc‑shaped structural design relieves welding‑induced stress cracking risk and delivers high tensile strength. Curved outer surface reduces potential operator mechanical injury hazard.

5.Re‑Designed Under‑Housing Rotary Support

A revised rotary‑support assembly is fitted under discharge casing instead of conventional top mounting configuration. This avoids steam corrosion exposure at upper chamber and resolves failure modes including rust and wear of internal steel balls.

6.Thickened Stainless‑Steel Material Lifting Knife

Thick‑section 304 lifting knife possesses high resistance to elevated temperature and steam corrosion. It facilitates material circulation and prevents raw‑material accumulation within pelletizing chamber.

7.Position‑Adjustable Inner Cut‑Off Knife

Internal cutting knife supports displacement adjustment. By modifying cutter projection length, operators control finished pellet dimension, featuring straightforward adjustment workflow.
