Brief Introduction
The corn forage pellet press—also known as a corn stalk pellet mill—is a piece of biomass pelletizing equipment specifically designed to compress and shape materials such as corn forage, corn stalks, and various types of ground pasture grass. It transforms loose, powdered forage raw materials into high-density cylindrical pellets suitable for use as livestock feed or biomass fuel. Available in models ranging from small units for home use to medium-sized units for farms and large-scale industrial press, the equipment caters to individual operators, livestock farms, and feed processing plants; by changing the die to one with a different aperture size, the press can produce pellets of varying diameters.
Working Principle
After undergoing preliminary crushing, the raw material is fed into the hopper of the corn-stalk pellet mill and enters the granulation chamber. The main shaft drives the rollers to rotate and compress the material, forcing the fibrous feedstock into the holes of the flat or ring die. Friction during this process generates heat, causing the fibers to undergo thermal conditioning; the natural lignin acts as a binder, eliminating the need for additives. The material is extruded through the die holes into long strands, which are cut to a preset length by an internal blade; the finished pellets are then discharged from the outlet, completing the granulation process. For optimal pellet formation, it is recommended to maintain the raw material moisture content between 8% and 15%.

Suitable Raw Materials
Primary raw materials for the corn forage pellet press : corn forage, corn stalks, corn cobs, and corn silage;
Complementary raw materials: alfalfa, ryegrass, Chinese wild rye (Leymus chinensis), peanut vines, wheat straw, and rice straw;
Optional additives: corn flour, soybean meal, wheat bran, etc., which can be mixed directly for pelleting.
