Brief Introduction

The latest enlarged gear transmission pelletizing equipment from TONY targets medium and large processing workshops. Our research group independently developed this new type of low-carbon and power-saving pelletizing system. It turns chipped lumber, corn stalks, crop residuals, bamboo fines, hay, straw, rice husk and more raw biomass into dense pellet products. It performs reliably on feedstock that lacks natural binding ability and only needs standard compaction effects. The compatible material range covers rice husks, sunflower seed coats, peanut husks, assorted fruit shells, twigs, log stock, tree bark and leftover wood debris.

Working Principle

Material forming on the TONY wood pellet mill comes from joint effects: extrusion between rollers and die plus friction taking place inside die pores. The whole process needs zero binders or supplementary additives.

Wood shavings, straw and other similar raw materials hold cellulose and lignin. Lignin belongs to non-crystalline phenylpropane polymers that support cell walls and stick cellulose together. It will not liquefy, yet softens once reaching a certain temperature. The softened substance produces adhesion. External pressure makes cellulose structures distort and extend, so biomass fibres weave tightly and form pellet products.

Suitable Raw Materials

Wood feedstock: Processed wood and bamboo fragments are primary pellet raw materials. Good fiber cohesion brings stable molding and dense pellets.

Crop stalks: Various straw and husk materials are low-cost and easy to source. Pretreatment enables pellet production for straw reuse programs.

Hard shell by-products: Nut shells, bark and fruit branches demand matched crushing tools. Pellets feature high heat value for boiler use and carbonization.

Livestock dung: Fermented manure becomes fertilizer pellets for planting. Palm waste, reeds, bagasse and mushroom scraps can also be recycled into fuel or substrate pellets.

Application Areas

BThe biomass pellet machine accepts wood chips, straw, rice husks, bark and similar biomass waste. Proper pretreatment turns them into compact high-density fuel granules.

As a clean renewable energy source, biomass pellets can substitute kerosene and coal. They reduce energy consumption and pollutant output for coal-firing manufacturers.

1. Compared to ordinary counterparts, the gearbox is one size larger in both the box and internal gears to ensure sufficient stable transmission power for the operation of the pellet machine. 

2. The integrated power base is made of high-strength gray cast iron-HT250; All are high-precision hard tooth surface gear transmissions - the carburized tooth surface hardness of low-carbon alloy steel reaches HRC59-64, with an accuracy level of 5-6. 

3. The high-speed bearings of the gearbox are imported from NSK brand in Japan.

4. The sealing element adopts Taiwan NAK high-temperature resistant fluororubber oil seal. 

5. Equipped with a forced lubrication pump on the integrated reducer, it provides a thin oil lubrication system for the rolling shaft system above the bearing chamber to improve the impact of impurities and high temperature on the service life of the rolling shaft system. The gearbox of Shandong TONY Environmental Protection SCI-TECH CO., LTD. only uses plate heat exchangers (oil cooling devices). Compared to traditional tube heat exchangers (oil cooling devices) only used by some manufacturers, they have more advantages.
