Brief Introduction
The Bermudagrass pellet press utilizes a ring-die design and is equipped with a feeding mechanism, pressure rollers, a ring die, a cutter, and a drive system. The die can be swapped to produce Bermudagrass pellets in various diameters—6mm, 8mm, or 10mm. No chemical binders are required; the pellets are formed by utilizing the natural lignin content of the grass, resulting in a high pellet formation rate and excellent hardness. The process significantly reduces the volume of the loose raw material, facilitating storage, packaging, and long-distance transport. The press can operate as a standalone unit or be integrated with a grinder, dryer, and cooler to form a complete Bermudagrass pellet production line.
Working Principle
Bermuda grass fragments—having undergone pretreatment involving crushing and moisture adjustment (to a content of 10%–15%)—are evenly fed into the pelletizing chamber of the Bermuda grass pellet mill. Rotating rollers compress the material, generating frictional heat (70–90°C) between the rollers and the die; under these conditions of high temperature and pressure, the lignin within the grass fibers softens and acts as a natural binder. The material is forcefully extruded through the die holes to form strands, which are then cut to a preset length by an external cutter, yielding cylindrical Bermuda grass pellets. Finally, the hot pellets are cooled and solidified to enhance their structural strength, completing the pelletization process.

Suitable Raw Materials
1. Core raw material: Bermudagrass (lawn clippings, sun-dried forage, or hay).
2. Compatible with various herbaceous materials: Ryegrass, alfalfa, elephant grass, Chinese wild rye, crop stalks, weeds, forage grasses, and lawn clippings.
3. Supplementary ingredients: Wheat bran, corn flour, etc.; can be mixed with Bermudagrass to produce compound feed pellets.
