Brief Introduction
A straw biomass pellet press is a piece of forming equipment designed to process agricultural and forestry waste—such as rice straw, crop stalks, rice husks, and wood chips—into high-density biomass pellet fuel. Through processes including crushing, drying, compression, and cooling, loose and difficult-to-store straw is transformed into compact, high-density pellets with a stable calorific value that are easy to transport and use. These pellets are suitable for applications such as residential heating, industrial boilers, biomass power generation, and clean heating systems.
Working Principle
1. Raw material pretreatment: Raw materials such as rice straw and crop stalks are first crushed, with particle size generally controlled within a range of a few millimeters to several tens of millimeters.
2. Moisture adjustment: The moisture content of the raw material is typically controlled at approximately 10%–15%; levels that are too high or too low will affect the molding quality.
3. Feeding and compression: Upon entering the pelletizing chamber, the material is subjected to high-pressure compression between the pressure rollers and the ring die or flat die.
4. Molding and discharge: The material is extruded through the die holes into cylindrical pellets, which are then cut to the desired length by a cutter.
5. Cooling and packaging: The pellets are cooled and screened before being bagged and stored; this prevents issues such as moisture re-absorption or deformation that could occur if hot pellets were bagged directly.
